Summer is on it’s way and what a spot to enjoy it. I met the Owens for a quick shoot down at Clontarf on a perfect sunny afternoon.
That’s me over there with the camera and the big smile on my face. I’m a portrait photographer based in Manly on the Northern Beaches; originally from Sweden, but Australia is where I grew up and has been my home for many years.
My interest in photography started early on in high school when I got my first digital camera. I remember it loaded floppy disks straight into the camera! Having finished school I embarked on an ambitious sailing adventure from Brisbane to Stockholm and it was during this journey that a deeper passion for photography started to take hold. During this epic voyage I saw 18 countries; all captured through a lens.
In 2008 I opened a photography studio in Central Stockholm where the creative side of my photography really took shape. The company is called Studio104 and is still in operation today being run by the brilliant photographer Malin Sydne.
Since moving to Sydney I've come to realise that a studio isn't needed. Who needs a studio when we live in the most beautiful country in the world and a warm climate to boot! Of course a studio can be organised if studio shots are what you are after, but getting creative in natural surroundings and light is a lot of fun. What happens if there isn't enough light? That's when we bring out the portable flashes.
Get in touch if you'd like to hang out for a couple of hours and get some great shots. I guarantee you will be happy with the result or your money back.
